After the Covid-19 epidemic, Yen Bai province focused all resources on recovering and developing tourism, so it reached nearly 1.6 million visitors, doubling compared to the same period last year; Revenue reached over 1,100 billion VND, an increase of 125% over the same period.
To effectively develop tourism, Yen Bai province issued Resolution No. 28-NQ/TU, dated February 24, 2021 on tourism development in the period 2021 – 2025, oriented to 2023 in the province.
Yen Bai has also issued a Plan for rural tourism development in building new rural areas in the province until 2025; Approved the Project “One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program for the period 2022 – 2025, orientation to 2030”, bringing the OCOP program into depth, efficiency and sustainability, and becoming a key program Economic development in rural areas in the direction of promoting internal resources and added value. The province also focuses on mobilizing resources to promote and promote tourism development in association with the National Target Program to build new rural areas, OCOP Program.
In addition, Yen Bai province also promotes the implementation of tourism development projects for localities such as: Project to build Nghia Lo town into a cultural and tourist town in the period 2021 – 2025; Project to build Mu Cang Chai district into a tourist district in the period 2021 – 2025.
The type of agricultural tourism in the province is beginning to develop based on potentials and advantages such as: tourism in the flood season and ripe rice season on terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai district; Travel to visit Dai Minh specialty grapefruit garden (Yen Binh), Luc Yen gourmet orange area, raise fish in cages in Thac Ba lake, Yen Binh district and experience the processing stage (picking, cutting) and enjoy tea in the tea area Ancient snow shan Suoi Giang, Van Chan district… This type has become an attractive tourism model attracting a large number of tourists, contributing to improving the quality of agricultural and rural tourism in the province.
