After a long period of preparation, the new rural tourism tour “My hometown Tan Tru” implemented by Tan Tru district (Long An province) in collaboration with DTM Travel Company, was officially launched on October 8. The experience program was organized by Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with People’s Committee of Tan Tru district.

At the launch, the company representative reported on the process of forming and experiencing the tour “My hometown Tan Tru”. The tour is held at the Vam Nhut Tao historical relic site, where marks the achievements of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc.
Visitors experience mat weaving under the guidance of middle school students in Tan Tru district
After burning incense and learning about the life and career of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc, visitors can experience miniature traditional craft villages such as mat weaving, drum making and snow-flaked cake making. They can learn about the origin and try making the products themselves. The special thing of the tour is that the guides and narrators are students from local schools.

Vam Nhut Tao historical relic site is a destination chosen by many tourist groups on their journey. Every year, the relic welcomes about 10,000 visitors, including many students.
People’s Committee of Tan Tru district informed that, the tour is the first step in the roadmap to develop rural tourism in general, community tourism, and eco-tourism in particular. In the coming time, the district will continue to connect with other relics such as Ong Ban Quy Temple, Le family’s ancient house and shrimp fields in lower region, royal palm road, etc to develop tourism in the district.
The tour “My hometown Tan Tru” is also the starting point for the province’s rural tourism development./.
