2023 is the second time Salangane’s Nest Fly Limited Company participates in voting for typical rural industrial products in Van Ninh district. Company leaders said that this year, the company registered to participate in the voting with two products: cordyceps bird’s nest and FLY PLUS bird’s nest. Both of the above products have been recognized by Van Ninh District People’s Committee as typical rural industrial products at the district level. In 2021, the company participated in the voting with the FLY bird’s nest product set and was in turn voted as a typical rural industrial product at the district, provincial and Central Highlands levels. Currently, the above product set participates in the national voting in 2023. This gives the company more motivation to continue improving technology, enhancing facilities… to further improve product quality and have more opportunities to promote and expand the market.
For the business household of Co Tu spring rolls, through local research and guidance, the subject has registered to participate in voting for the typical rural industrial product of 2023 with the product Co Tu spring rolls. 2023 is the third year that Van Ninh district organizes the election of typical district-level rural industrial products with 14 products and product sets of 10 entities registering to participate. In particular, the handicraft group has 4 products; the agricultural, forestry, fishery, food and beverage processing group has 5 products; other products group has 5 products. Through implementing the steps, the district voting council voted 14 products and product sets that all achieved typical rural industrial products in 2023 and were recognized and certified by Van Ninh District People’s Committee.
Nguyen Thanh Son – Vice Chairman of Van Ninh District People’s Committee said that this year’s rural industrial product voting attracted the attention of establishments in the district with the quantity and quality of products being increasingly recognized. Among them, many products have high quality and value, have the potential to develop production, expand markets and carry cultural characteristics of Van Ninh’s hometown, such as agarwood bracelets, incense sticks, agarwood, fish cakes… Thereby, it has contributed to increasing the production value of the industry, actively solving labor problems and bringing income to people in rural areas.
To further improve the quality of voting for typical rural industrial products in the district in the following years, Van Ninh District People’s Committee has directed branches, agencies, and People’s Committees of communes and towns to continue promoting propagate the purpose and meaning of voting to all classes of people; then, promptly contact, guide and mobilize businesses and production facilities to capture information and submit products for voting. The district also wants businesses and rural industrial production facilities to pay attention to innovation and improve technology and equipment to improve product quality, focusing on innovating designs, registering intellectual property, applying digital transformation… to improve competitiveness with other products on the market, thereby, upholding the potential of rural industrial production and pushing the local economic and social development up.
Through 3 times of organization, Van Ninh District People’s Committee has recognized typical rural industrial products for 37 products and product sets, including 12 ones in 2019, 11 in 2021 and 14 in 2023.
Specifically, in 2019 there were 12 products and product sets of 7 subjects; In 2021, there are 11 products and product sets of 11 entities; In 2023, there will be 14 products and product sets from 10 entities. In particular, in 2021, the Thuan fish cake product (of Pham Thi Thuan business household, Van Phu commune) was recognized as a national typical rural industrial product and the FLY bird’s nest product set (Salangane’s Nest Fly Limited Company) was recognized at the Central – Central Highlands regional level.
