A resort developed by Hai Cuong Tourism Cooperative in Tram Tau town in 2017 is well known for its hot mineral springs.
Vu ManhCuong, Chairman of the cooperative, said that when building the resort, he paid much attention to traditional cultural identities, for example wooden roofs and local ingredients that are grown and made by local ethnic people.
In addition, on traditional festivals, there are cultural and artistic performances that also encourage tourists to join in dancing or singing songs of the Mong and Thai people.
The integration of local cultural features into tourism services has created a distinct highlight that attracts tourists to Tram Tau hot spring resorts, especially those from big cities.
Xa Ho commune is one of the most attractive destinations in the Tram Tau district. Last year, the commune alone attracted more than 6,700 tourists to mountain trekking tourism and community-based tourism.

To exploit the potential and strengths of the locality, over the recent years, the commune has implemented many solutions to preserve traditional cultural identities.
Giang A Say, chairman of the Xa Ho Commune People’s Committee, said that the commune administration called on locals to preserve cultural identities including costumes, repairing traditional houses for tourists to visit, and teaching traditional folk songs and folk songs to tourists.
In 2022, Tram Tau district organised cultural conservation activities associated with tourism development in communes and towns, for example the Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival, the Ethnic Culture Festival, and the Gau Tao Festival of the Mong ethnic group.
Especially, from October 2022, a cultural exchange programme is organised every Saturday night at EoGio Pine Hill Park to introduce visitors to special songs, dances, and musical instruments of ethnic groups in the district. The programmes not only help arouse pride in the Mong ethnic group but also potential tourism products for the district’s tourism.
Through many positive activities to stimulate demand, Tram Tau district’s tourism industry has made many important steps forward. In 2022, the number of tourists to the district reached 95,000, generating a revenue of over 57 billion VND (2.4 million USD).
