In the early hours of each day, the village comes alive with the hustle and bustle of locals engaging in various tasks. Fires are carefully kindled, and rice flour is meticulously milled to create an array of vermicelli noodles and rice papers. These artisanal products are then delicately arranged on bamboo racks to bask in the sun’s warm embrace along the tranquil banks of the Kon River. It is a labor-intensive process, with most of the steps requiring skilled, manual craftsmanship.
Among the vermicelli noodle and rice paper offerings, the Song Than vermicelli noodles stand out as the most renowned. Distinguished by their unique composition, these noodles are crafted from green beans, setting them apart from the more conventional rice or wheat flour varieties.
