With the characteristics of a mountainous district, Khanh Vinh (Khanh Hoa province) has many agricultural products that can develop quality OCOP products; however, local products are still mainly fresh products with low added value. In the coming time, production facilities and business households in the district will focus on processing to develop products with high added value.

Ngan Nguyen Fruit and Agricultural Products Import-Export Co., Ltd. (Khanh Vinh town) was established in 2020, specializing in producing and trading agricultural products of the district, mainly green-skinned grapefruitsĀ and by-products like Bird’s nest and wild honey. According to Nguyen Thi Ngan – Director of the company, in addition to the domestic grapefruit market, the unit also exports to Singapore, China, Europe… Agricultural products are processed and packaged by the company and then exported for sale with an output of more than 1,000 tons/year. In addition, the company also sells 100 – 300kg of bird’s nest/year; 60 – 200 liters of wild honey/year. All three products mentioned above were certified with ISO 22000 (2023) by the National Office of Intellectual Property.Ā As for grapefruit products, the company is applying for certification to achieve 3-star OCOP in 2023 of the district. However, the above products are only roughly processed and do not have any refined processing content.
