Opening of the largest Vietnam International Agriculture Trade Fair – AgroViet 2023

(TITC) – On 14th September, in Ha Noi, The 23rd Vietnam International Agriculture Trade Fair (AgroViet 2023), themed “Connecting Value Chains, Developing Ecological and Sustainable Agriculture” took place.

The three-day event features approximately 200 booths and more than 1,000 square metres of vacant land are specially arranged and decorated into display and experience areas that will introduce to visitors many diverse and rich items such as agricultural products, OCOP products, typical products from domestic and foreign enterprises, with the participation of 45 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ninh Binh; provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, Southeast, Central Highlands, Central region, provinces and cities in the Red River Delta and Northern mountainous regions and organisations, businesses and cooperatives, production and business establishments across the country.

The fair displayed and introduced diverse and high-quality products from regions in Vietnam with many agricultural products, OCOP products such as: ST25 rice, Thai Nguyen tea, Tam Dao yellow flower tea, Nha Trang bird’s nest, Lam Dong’s coffee, macadamia, Ba Lang fish sauce, Quang Nam green lim mushroom and incense, Quang Ninh seafood, Ca Mau crab, along with many types of processed vegetables and fresh fruits from the Mekong Delta provinces…

Many agricultural and food products originate from Australia such as: abalone, olive oil, Manuka honey, Australian native flower honey; Chinese fresh flowers, vegetables and fruits; Food and souvenirs from the Russian Federation such as cheese, butter, sunflower oil, tumblers, wooden dolls…

In the framework of the fair, the Organising Board coordinated with relevant units to organise conferences and seminars to provide information and connect supply and demand of agricultural products, especially the trade connection between domestic and international businesses. In addition, the area promoting rural tourism and regional culture is a new highlight, introduced for the first time at the Fair to promote and convey the orientation of agricultural economic development towards multi-value integration.

Noticeably, within the framework of the Fair, the Workshop “Developing green, sustainable agriculture associated with the rural tourism model” took place attracting 100 delegates to attend. The conference was organised to affirm the role and importance of developing agriculture in a modern, sustainable and environmentally friendly direction; Introduce and promote a number of ecological agricultural production models, circular economy associated with the current rural tourism model and exchange and discuss solutions to build ecological agricultural production models, circular economy associated with rural tourism to attract and develop the community economy, promote local economic development, and respond to climate change.
