(TITC) – On 29th November, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports held a press conference to announce the activities of the 2023 Hanoi Culinary Cultural Festival and Hanoi Culinary Cultural Exchange with international friends.
The Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2023 will take place from December 1 to 3 at Thong Nhat or Reunification Park and Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.
Hanoi is not only a land of
thousands of years of civilization, famous for its elegant Trang An, but also a
place where the quintessence of the country’s cuisine converges. Among them,
there are famous culinary dishes such as: Pho, snail rice vermicelli, bun cha,
thang vermicelli, spring rolls, rice nuggets…
After expanding its administrative
boundaries, Hanoi has received more specialties from the lands of Doai and
Upper Son Nam, with many villages having unique culinary dishes.
The festival includes a series of
unique culinary culture activities, with about 80 booths, divided into many
areas.
In the area introducing the culinary
cultural space of typical craft villages, residents and visitors will
experience and enjoy Hanoi’s specialty dishes: Me Tri rice nuggets, Phu Thuong
sticky rice, So Village glass noodle, Bao Phuong traditional mooncakes, Gio cha
Uoc Le or Uoc Le steamed pork paste and fried cinnamon paste; Thach Xa che lam, Ngau Village wine, cháo gõ Quảng Phú Cầu (Porridge cooked
with perch by tapping through a bamboo basket), Hoa Nam steamed rice rolls, Tam
Hiep pickled garden eggs (Thai White Eggplant), Van Nam banana, Ha Mo se porridge…
The regional cuisine section will
feature delicious traditional dishes from all over the country: Ha Giang
(hunchback chung cake, meat hanging from the stove and mint honey…); Bac Ninh
(chrysanthemum wine, wife and husband cake, te cake, nem bùi (rice flavour, lean meat, soft and fresh meat, fatty pork
fat and delicious, attractive chewy skin), peanut candy, Che Lam, Belostomatidae fish sauce and Belostomatidae essential
oil…); Ha Nam (Cham Cham peanut candy, Dai Hoang banana and Nhan Hau braised
fish); Ninh Binh (Ninh Binh goat meat); Quang Binh (ginseng jam and ginseng
tea, ginseng stewed chicken and tapioca cake); Quang Nam (Quang noodles,
chicken rice, grapefruit sweet soup, cao lau, corn sweet soup and all kinds of
sandwiches)…
In addition to culinary spaces, the
festival also has many activities such as: Photo exhibition about typical
domestic and international culture, tourism, and cuisine: Denmark, Venezuela,
India, Iran, Panama, Korea, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia…; Mobile book
exhibition introduces books promoting culture, arts, tourism, and typical
domestic and international cuisine.
Besides, people and tourists will be
able to participate in folk games, cultural, artistic, and culinary exchanges
with other countries; Watch traditional art performances: tru, cheo, xam, trong
quan singings, Trieu Khuc drum dancing; Gongs of the Muong people…
