Dak Lak: Pilot durian production using smart technology associated with tourism

(TITC) – On 1st June, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Provincial Farmers’ Association organised a workshop to approve the proposal “Pilot durian production applying smart technology and combining building a durian garden model associated with agricultural experience tourism”.

The Provincial Farmers’ Association has submitted a proposal for the idea of “Pilot durian production applying smart technology and combining building a durian garden model with agricultural experience tourism” at Thong Phong Durian Cooperative, Krong No commune, Lak district.

To date, the entire commune has planted about 50 hectares of durian trees, with an average yield of about 18 tons/ha.

Dak Lak Province Farmers’ Association chose Thong Phong Durian Cooperative, Krong No commune, Lak district to pilot durian production applying smart technology and combine building a durian garden model with agricultural experience tourism to develop cooperative members and accumulate and concentrate durian production areas as well as concentrate investment resources, creating large raw material areas.

The goal of the project is to raise awareness of ethnic minority farmers about the link between collective economic development and the application of digital transformation in agricultural production. Piloting the application of smart technology to monitor the durian nurture process and participate in the e-commerce platform in Dak Lak. Building a pilot durian garden model combined with agricultural experience tourism.
