Attractive activities to take place at “Hoi An New Year Festival 2024”

(TITC) – According to the People’s Committee of Hoi An (Quang Nam Province), the event “Hoi An New Year Festival 2024” will take place from 30th December 2023 to 1st January 2024 with a series of attractive activities, bringing many experiences, connecting people and tourists from all over the world to visit Hoi An.

 

Thereby, the Announcement ceremony “Hội An’s designation to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023” will take place from 7:30 p.m. and “Hội An New Year Festival 2024” from 11 p.m. on 31st December 2023 at the An Hoi Sculpture Garden with a new, attractive and impressively art programme and the moment all hold hands together, counting down the sacred moments of closing the old year and welcoming New Year 2024 with wonderful things.

In the event area, the city will design a space for art installations, craft demonstrations, photo exhibition “Hoi An – Creativity and Development”, along with activities introducing Hoi An’s folk arts. The installation space will provide an overall view of traditional indigenous cultural values, along with a reflection of the quintessence of Hoi An and Quang Nam craft villages in an infinite flow of creativity.

 

 

The first Quảng Nam Culinary Culture Festival in 2023 – “Quảng Nam specialties” will take place from 30th December 2023 to 1st January 2024 at Sông Hoài Square and feature demonstrations of how to process and sell specialty dishes of Hoi An and some localities in Quang Nam; Nightly music exchanges; organise free culinary enjoyment for people in difficult circumstances; Culinary workshops… The festival is expected to bring many experiences to people and tourists in the beginning of 2024 and introduce more about a creative field of gastronomy of Hoi An and Quang Nam.

Along with that is the Exchange programme “New Day of Hoi An” at 7:00 p.m on 31st December 2023 with the colours of the city’s youth through activities such as Flashmob, folk dance, and dancing; announcing the works of the Video Creation Contest on the TikTok platform; electronic music performance… at Hoi An Park.

 

From 29th December 2023 to 4th January 2024, The 11th  Hội An Ornamental Art Festival in 2024, taking place in Thanh Hóa – Hội An Library (No. 131 Nguyen Truong To str.) is a testament to the creativity and talented hands of Hoi An people in shaping and artistically arranging works of bonsai, rockery, miniatures, driftwood, art stones,…

 

 

On 1st January 2024, the city will hold a New Year’s Tea Offering Ceremony in Hoi An Communal House at 8:00 a.m, followed by the activity “Welcome the first tourist group to Hoi An Ancient Town in 2024” at Bà Mụ Temple Gate at 9:00 a.m.

At the Hoi An Memories Land, from 22nd to 24th December 2023, the city launches “Brilliant Wonderland Christmas” with impressive snow showers, shimmering light coordinates and a series of attractive minishows. Lighting up the heritage area, Hoi An Memory Island is brilliant with sparkling lights, filled with a warm Christmas atmosphere.

Here, visitors will take thousands of impressive photos with the giant light pine tree, the brightly lit path and countless check-in points: gift boxes, snowmen, Mr. Santa Claus, reindeer carriage… And especially, this year’s Christmas also has the debut of children in the Doraemon world.

 

Visitors also experience catching snowfall in Hoi An. For the first time, in the heart of the heritage city, visitors will be able to see white snowflakes and feel the romantic Christmas atmosphere. In addition, a series of Christmas mini shows with unique dances and vibrant sounds promises to spark joy in all visitors.
