(TITC) – On 11th July, Ha Noi City Department of Tourism organised a Scientific conference to evaluate the current status of agricultural and rural tourism development in the city.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of Ha Noi City Department of Tourism, said, the city’s People’s Committee soon issued and implemented a Plan on economic development of agricultural and rural tourism associated with new rural construction in Ha Noi City in the period 2022-2025. Over the past year, Ha Noi’s local authorities have performed programmes and activities integrating the content of agricultural and rural tourism economic development associated with new rural construction.
The city has the first 2 OCOP products evaluated and ranked 4 stars in the product group of community tourism services, eco-tourism and tourist attractions, namely: Hong Van village service tourist destination (Hong Van commune, Thuong Tin district) and Phu Dong Green Park ecological area (Phu Dong commune, Gia Lam district).
Along with that, the city has recognized 7 tourist destinations in suburban areas, associated with agricultural, rural, craft village, ecological tourism, namely: Duong Xa commune tourist destination, Phu Dong tourist destination, Gia Lam district; Thuy Ung horn comb craft village tourist destination, Van Diem high-class carpentry village tourist destination, Thuong Tin district; Dai Ang tourist destination, Yen My tourist destination, Thanh Tri district; tourist destination in Long Ho village, Kim Son commune, Son Tay town.
The conference provides inputs for the Department of Tourism to generally identify and evaluate the potential and ways to develop agricultural and rural tourism in Ha Noi. The Department of Tourism will report and propose to the City People’s Committee to expand additional models of agricultural and rural tourism in localities, stated Ms. Dang Huong Giang.
