“Luc Ngan lychee” product of Hong Xuan Production and General Service Trading Cooperative (Cooperative) in Hong Giang commune, Luc Ngan district is one of 4 products that have just been rated 5-star standards under One Commune One Product programme (OCOP) by the Central Council for evaluating and classifying OCOP products (Council) in 2024 on June 25.
The 4 products included Luc Ngan lychee (Bac Giang); Royal Golden Dragon green bean cake (Hai Duong); frozen durian fruit (Ben Tre); complete seasoning (Thua Thien Hue).

According to the Council’s assessment, “Luc Ngan lychee” product scored over 90 points with high quality standards so it meets export requirements, especially from demanding markets such as the US and Russia.
The Cooperative has nearly 20 official members and more than 100 associate members. The entire lychee area is produced in line with VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards. In 2023, the Cooperative’s lychee output reached more than 2,000 tonnes with favorable consumption. This is the first 5-star OCOP product in Bac Giang province.
According to Resolution No. 67/2023/NQ-HDND of Bac Giang province dated December 13, 2023 stipulating policies to encourage the development of OCOP products in the province during 2024-2025 period, products meeting 5-star OCOP standards will be supported 300 million VND.
