Agricultural tourism really brings wonderful experiences to foreign touirts.

On the 7th day of the first lunar month, the local people of Tra Que vegetable village in Cam Ha commune, Hoi An city, organized the annual Cau Bong Festival to pray for peace, good weather, and a bumper crop.

Besides the worship ceremony, the festival included a number of competitions associated with agricultural production, such as making organic shrimp, making soil, planting leaf mustard, fertilizing, etc.

According to the leader of Cam Ha commune, Mai Thanh Hung, foreign tourists’ experience in agricultural activities at the festival is a great joy and also a good way to promote the agricultural tourism brand of Tra Que village.

Mr. Michel, a visitor from France, said his family booked a tour to experience “being farmers” in Tra Que

By chance, they and local people took part in agricultural activities at the festival. So, they could understand more about the local traditional beauty. It was a wonderful experience beyond his family’s expectations.

In early January 2024, Cam Chau commune (Hoi An city) also organized a festival called “Going to the field”.

Although the weather was not favorable, international tourists were still excited to dry water out with a long-handled bucket, plow with buffaloes, and plant rice seedlings in the field.

Among the spring festivals that will take place in Hoi An early this year, there are still a number of festivals associated with attractive agricultural experiences, such as the Kim Bong traditional craft village festival, Cam Kim sticky corn festival.

Hoi An tourism development is based on cultural heritage conservation and promotion, environmental protection, local traditional culture, etc.

Among them, agricultural tourism is one of the key developments of the city, especially in the post-COVID-19 period towards a sustainable tourism industry.
