Delegates review the products displayed at the workshop
However, agricultural and rural community tourism models and products still face many difficulties due to the province’s low starting point for tourism, unsynchronized infrastructure, and poor awareness of tourism in some places and residential communities.
In order to find solutions to develop rural tourism, experts participating in the workshop made many proposals such as promoting the image of Long An tourism; investment in traffic development; stimulate the heritage system and rural tourism; building Long An tourism brand; etc.
Regarding solutions to promote Long An tourism, experts say that Long An should choose some special products to develop to attract tourists and sell with rural tourism products/services; organize communication campaigns about products; promoting the original value of Long An rural tourism products.
Agricultural and rural tourism products are identified as one of the province’s specific products. Building images and brand recognition slogans for products is essential in developing and promoting rural tourism.
Experts from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of tourism businesses and representatives of district leaders in the district had many discussions and suggestions to deevelop rural tourism in Long An.
Speaking at the discussion, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan affirmed that the advantage of Long An tourism is to experience the heritage memory region; original peace to connect with yourself; etc. The role of the government and the Tourism Information and Promotion Center as a bridge is very important in developing rural tourism in the province in the coming time./.
