Phu Tho is one of 10 provinces in the Capital Region Planning, and is the intersection between the Capital Region and the Northern Midlands and Mountains – this is an important advantage of the province in urban development, because the Capital Region Planning aims to build a multi-polar, concentrated urban area, creating a driving force to promote the region’s economic development. In Phu Tho, the urbanization rate is expected to be in the 45-50% range, with 22 urban areas of all types.
According to the research results of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Standing Board of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Statistics Department conducted in 2022, it shows that: The province’s urbanization rate ranked 8th/14th in the Northern Midlands and Mountains; The whole province has 13 urban areas, reaching 21.3%; At the same time, a number of related issues such as green and sustainable urban development associated with promoting cultural and historical values of the Fatherland… still face many obstacles.
Through the workshop, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has more scientific basis, practical basis, comparability and practical and appropriate solutions to develop reports and recommendations to all levels and agencies as well as the urban development advisory agency of the province for their consideration and direction in the coming time.
