The festival’s activities are organized to honor Ca Mau’s specialty dishes and ingredients
Activities at the event include: Organizing cultural spaces and small landscapes about aquatic species; Organizing stages, opening programs, musical performances, screening video clips promoting typical raw material areas such as shrimp and other aquatic species, seafood competitions (shrimp-eating contest, catching octopus with hands, quickly draw a shrimp shape, blindfolded guess the names of aquatic species); Organizing to invite culinary artists and famous chefs to perform at the event, artisans to tie coconut leaves to create figures of Ca Mau seafoods for visitors; create statues at the event area; Organizing 70 culinary booths, displaying culinary art, ingredients for preparing dishes, entertainment activities inviting culinary businesses, specialty booths, fresh seafood to serve Central kitchen service, participating in serving visitors and enjoying cuisine.
Through activities to create more space for people and tourists to have fun and enjoy food within the framework of activities at the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival and the OCOP Product Connection Forum in the Mekong Delta 2023. From there, creating a highlight to attract tourists contributes to promoting the image of the land and the friendly and hospitable people of Ca Mau to domestic and foreign friends. Exploiting local culinary culture, gradually linking the development of cuisine and tourism. Create a fun and useful playground for chefs to demonstrate their skills, update their knowledge, improve their professional skills, exchange and learn from experience. Introducing typical traditional dishes and cuisine of Ca Mau province and other regions in the country; Introducing the province’s unique culinary utensils and ingredients; exploit local culinary culture, gradually linking the development of cuisine and tourism through the display of culinary booths at the festival. Create conditions for organizations and individuals doing culinary business to meet, exchange, introduce products and promote their brands to tourists inside and outside the province.
