Opening ceremony for advertising endeavors
The promotion activities for products certified under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, potential OCOP products, start-up products, products bearing the An Giang certification mark, typical rural industrial products, and key products representative of the province will be held from September 30 to October 1, 2023. The event will take place at the An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center, located at No. 02A, Ngo Gia Tu Street, My Long Ward, Long Xuyen City, An Giang Province. A total of 18 businesses from the province will participate in the event, showcasing and introducing various products, including honeysuckle tea, red artichoke syrup, butterfly pea flower tea, dried snakehead fish, honey, shrimp salt, rice, palm art products, burnt rice products, bird’s nest, lingzhi mushrooms, massage oils, and lotions.
This activity is part of a series of activities to promote, introduce, and develop OCOP products and OCOP potential widely among local consumers and tourists inside and outside the province. The events will occur continuously from September to December 2023 in the following localities: Long Xuyen City, Chau Doc City, Chau Thanh District, Tinh Bien Town, Thoai Son District, etc.

Tourists and consumers who attend the event will be exposed to product demonstrations, promotional programs of businesses, and numerous exciting and alluring game shows: Demonstrate your aptitude in pricing estimation and acquisition of knowledge pertaining to OCOP items, traditional games, visual aesthetics, An Giang’s tourist attractions and culinary offerings, collaborative guessing activities, street music performances, and communal singing sessions conducted on a nightly basis. The activities commence at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 p.m. on a daily basis.

The primary objective of the program is to facilitate the promotion, introduction, and enhancement of goods that have received OCOP certification, as well as potential products that are involved in the OCOP program. This initiative intends to stimulate product consumption, foster production growth, and cater to the diverse demands of customers. This study aims to outline the necessary criteria for enterprises to attain OCOP (One Commune One Product) certification. Additionally, it explores the potential of the province in using OCOP to enhance brand promotion, and product marketing for consumers, and facilitate consumer access to information on OCOP goods across the province. Participating in the advocacy initiative “Promoting the Preference for Vietnamese Products among the Local Population” across the province.
Tourists visited and enjoyed the food stalls
To date, 81 products from 52 entities have been evaluated and classified as OCOP products at the provincial level in An Giang. The program’s widespread dissemination has increased provincial motivation for socio-economic development. On the market, OCOP products gradually establish their worth and quality, gaining consumers’ confidence.
An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center has recently coordinated with departments and localities to implement many activities to promote and connect trade of OCOP products inside and outside the province through fairs, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, trade connections, and training; promote e-commerce development for OCOP products through online sales channels such as Shopee and TikTok; bring OCOP products to product introduction and sales points associated with telecommunications companies; and bring OCOP products to product introduction and sales points associated with tourism companies. Through these activities, businesses and cooperatives producing OCOP products can expand their consumer markets, collect consumer information to innovate production and business methods, and enhance the quality, design, and functionality of the province’s OCOP products.
