Implementing the One Commune and Ward One Product Program (OCOP Program), as of November 2023, Bac Ninh province has 93 OCOP products at the provincial level (4-star 59 products and 3-star 34 products) of 38 subjects in 8/8 districts, towns, and cities.
Products are recognized as OCOP at the provincial level
Among them, localities with many recognized OCOP products include Luong Tai district (19 products); Thuan Thanh town (17 products); Bac Ninh city (13 products); Tien Du district and Que Vo town each have 12 products.
Recognized OCOP products mainly fall into the culinary, beverage, souvenir, and decorative product categories. After being designated as OCOP products at the provincial level, the subjects boldly invested in money and science and technology to improve product quality and design, expand markets, and create more sales networks. More and more customers are putting their trust in provinces and cities around the country.
Currently, the agriculture sector is coordinating with localities to guide the subjects to complete registration documents to participate in the 2023 OCOP Program. It is expected that by the end of 2023, about 50 additional OCOP products will have achieved 3.4 stars, increasing the number of products recognized as OCOP in the whole province to 143.
On the other hand, the sector also works with the Culture, Sports, and Tourism sector to pilot the construction of a tourism service OCOP model associated with craft village development and new rural construction in Quan Ho Diem Xa village, (Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city); Phu Lang pottery village (Phu Lang commune, Que Vo town); Dong Ho painting village (Song Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town), thereby, preserving and promoting traditional cultural beauties as well as building sustainable new rural areas.
