Phu Tho province: 107 products are classified as OCOP products in 2023

By 2023, 107 new goods will have been assessed and categorized as OCOP products across the province. There are 96 3-star products and 11 4-star products (up 173% from the previous year) in 13 districts and towns, including Viet Tri: 8 products; Phu Tho town: 3 products; Tan Son: 5 products; Ha Hoa 7 products; Thanh Thuy 7 products; Lam Thao 6 products; Doan Hung: 17 products; Cam Khe 15 products; Thanh Ba 5 products; Phu Ninh 14 products; Tam Nong 5 products; Yen Lap 10 products.

 

The products assessed and ranked this year are typical products with local strengths and cultural characteristics. Districts, towns, and other organizations have invested in the products to create packaging and labeling to attract consumers; has all necessary product information; QR codes, barcodes, etc maintain food hygiene and safety laws. Aside from traditional consumption channels, several entities have first used technology to develop new consumption channels and e-commerce transactions via websites; social networks, etc.

Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is advising the Provincial People’s Committee to issue a document to submit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to appraise, evaluate, classify and recognize 5-star OCOP products in 2023 for two products: Thanh Ba purple bud tea from UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited, Van Linh commune, Thanh Ba district and clean rice noodles product from Hung Lo village of Hung Lo Rice Noodle Cooperative, Hung Lo commune, Viet Tri city. Accordingly, by the end of 2023, the whole province will have 235 OCOP products rated 3 stars or higher (01 product rated 5 stars; 54 products rated 4 stars; 180 products rated 3 stars) with 158 subjects; 125/225 communes, wards and towns have OCOP products.
