Thai Nguyen Province recognizes 6 community tourism sites

Thai Nguyen province’s tourism development plan sets the target for the period of 2021 – 2025, vision to 2030 that the province will become a tourism center of the Viet Bac region (Northeast region) with typical tourism products associated with tea culture and brand. Tourism has become an important economic sector of the province along to synchronous infrastructure system, diversified tourism products, and increasingly improved quality.

To achieve this goal, one of the important solutions is building models of community tourism and agricultural tourism associated with tea culture. At the same time, the province will develop cultural and spiritual tourism based on historical sites, relics and heritage sites.

According to the plan, the province strives to support 5 locations by 2025 to build model of community tourism development.

In which, Thai Hai Reserve Area of Ecological Houses-on-stilts Village associated with Tay ethnic cultural characteristics, honored to “Best Tourist Village 2022” by UNWTO;

Ban Quyen ethnic cultural village associated with the special national relic of Dinh Hoa ATK;

Community tourist site of Mo Ga Village with activities to visit Mo Ga Communal House, traditional stilt houses, fruit orchards, enjoying handmade knitting, pounding day cakes and traditional folk games;

Community tourist site of Tan Cuong Commune related to specialty tea hills;

Community tourist site of Ghenh Che Lake is associated with the landscape of Ghenh Che Lake, the historical relic of Cang Ba Van and traditional craft villages.

Most recently, Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee has issued decision on the recognition of the community tourist site of Tan SonHamlet. Tourism products are formed on the basis of exploiting the strengths of the natural landscape, tea hills and a system of streams and waterfalls along the eastern slopes of the Tam Dao mountain range.
