Lam Dong Province: Building regulations to favour the sustainable development of rural tourism

(TITC) – Rural tourism is a typical tourism product of Da Lat (Lam Dong Province), which has lured tourists to come and experience. In order to improve the efficiency in state management and promote the development of rural tourism, Lam Dong is urgently developing appropriate regulations.

Rural tourism gives a hand to spread the image of tourism, landscape and culture of Da Lat – Lam Dong, attracting a large number of tourists to come and experience, creating jobs and income sources through on-site sales channels. Up to now, Lam Dong’s rural tourism development area is more than 300 hectares.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc – Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, rural tourism has developed freely and become an attractive tourism product. Therefore, the province is actively promoting the development and completion of general criteria to ensure state management, while creating conditions to promote this specific type of tourism to develop sustainably in the future.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc added, the Department will advise the Provincial People’s Committee to complete the draft regulations on management of rural tourism activities. Besides, the industry and trade sector is also building criteria to manage the brand ‘Da Lat miraculous crystallisation from good land’, including the criteria in rural tourism. The Department is actively coordinating to both facilitate state management work and create conditions for units and individuals to exploit this unique type of tourism in Da Lat to attract many tourists.
