Ha Giang: Building new tourism products combining culinary experiences

Ha Giang Province has many advantages in tourism development, rich of cultural resources, including local cuisine. Ha Giang tourism products are based on the traditional cultural values of 19 ethnic groups associated with community-based tourism villages, magnificent beauty and natural landscapes.

In particular, Ha Giang has a rich and attractive culinary culture treasure. Many dishes were honored by the Vietnam Record Association in the top 100 Vietnamese specialties and gifts, including: Au Tau soup, men men, thang co, meat hanging from the kitchen; mint honey, Shan Tuyet tea, buckwheat cake, Quan Ba seedless peach…

Building new tourism product this time, Ha Giang focuses on 4th route under the theme: Journey to a green future. This route includes 14 sites, clusters of geological heritage, cultural heritage, and diverse natural landscapes on Bac Me, Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac districts.

At the seminar, the delegates focused on discussing, sharing experiences, and orienting Ha Giang to become a safe and attractive tourism destination.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Le Phuc – VNAT’s Vice Chairman said that building new tourism products associated with the experience of Ha Giang culinary quintessence will promote the development of local tourism, create new business opportunities for local people, while contributing to economic and social development.

However, in order to build a new tourism product that is really attractive, it is necessary to promote and popularize Ha Giang’s typical culinary products, enhance investment in infrastructure system, culinary services, development of culinary experience programs.

Mr. Tran Duc Quy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that Ha Giang province will have a suitable roadmap in order to preserve and promote the value of culinary culture, promote quality, professional and sustainable tourism development.

At the seminar, the delegates performed a ceremony to launch the 4th tourism route with many different experiences in the Dong Van Karst Plateau.
