Thai Nguyen: Phu Luong district Tea craft village honoring festival 2023 will be held in November

With the theme “Phu Luong – The quintessence of tea land”, the festival is scheduled to be held in 03 days (from November 22 to November 24, 2023) at the Center for Culture, Sports and Trade of Tuc Tranh commune and 04 tea-growing communes of the district.

Within the framework of the Festival, there will be many attractive and unique activities such as: photo contest featuring beautiful images of tea plants and tea products with the theme “Colors of the Tea Region” (from August to October 15, 2023); organizing the review and recognition of the title of “Typical tea craft village” in 44 tea craft villages in the district (from September 1 to October 1, 2023); showcasing typical agricultural products, OCOP products of the district (from November 22 to November 24, 2023) with the participation of 50 booths from communes, towns, tea villages, cooperatives, enterprises and agricultural service centers in the area; The contest “Village Women of Tea Land” honoring the beauty of the woman of the tea land (in which, the Preliminary round will be held on November 23, 2023; the Final round will be held on February 14, 2024); “Beautiful Tea Plants” exhibition contest (from November 22 to November 24, 2023); “Golden Hand” contest (held on November 23, 2023). The highlight is the 3rd Phu Luong district Tea craft village honoring festival 2023, scheduled to be held at 19:00 on November 24, 2023 at the Center for Culture, Sports and Trade of Tuc Tranh Commune.

In addition to the main activities, Phu Luong district is also organizing various seminars, promotional events and campaigns to promote tea plants and tea products in connection with the development of agriculture, tourism and the construction of the new rural areas. These activities include: a seminar on solutions for the conservation and development of traditional tea-making villages; a seminar on solutions for developing OCOP products in alignment with the construction of new rural areas; a seminar on cultural heritage preservation linked to tourism development; a conference on solutions for the development of organic agricultural production linked to the value chain of tea cultivation; a seminar for expanding trade and market opportunities for tea products and outstanding agricultural products of Phu Luong district; and the organization of tea products auctions.
