The project’s objectives include making Ngoc Linh Ginseng processing and production one of the province’s major economic sectors, improving socioeconomic conditions for people, particularly in a mountainous ethnic minority area, by linking Ngoc Linh Ginseng production to the management, preservation, and sustainable development of local forests, and promoting local indigenous identity and culture.
As a result, the project is implemented in Nam Tra My district and other districts in the province that have suitable ecological conditions for planting Ngoc Linh ginseng trees. Phase I of implementation will take place from 2023 to the end of 2025; Phase II will take place from 2026 to the end of 2030, and Phase III will take place from 2031 – 2045.
