(TITC) – On 18th July, Lam Dong Provincial Peopleās Committee issued Plan 6195/KH-UBND on implementing the Rural Tourism Development Programme in building new rural areas for the period 2023 – 2025 in the province.

The plan sets out several tasks, which focus on: Propaganda information, training, and coaching to improve quality rural tourism human resources; build rural tourism development models; communication and promotion of rural tourism; apply technology, promote digital transformation in rural tourism development… with the participation and resource contribution of rural communities, tourism and service business community, relevant departments and branches, localities, Tourism Associations and professional organisations related to tourism and rural areasā¦

The Rural Tourism Development
Programme in building new rural areas for the period 2023 – 2025 in Lam Dong
province aims to promote effectively the exploitation and promotion of tourism
resources with agricultural potential and advantages; develop craft villages,
culture and rural ecological environment; create a means of subsistence, jobs,
and increase income for rural residents; contributing to restructuring the
rural economy towards providing servicesā¦
During foetal heart development of
rural tourism, the province will focus on designing and improving the
architectural landscape and environment in the tourist destination space; build
and complete synchronous infrastructure at tourist destinations. At the same
time, rural tourist destinations need support in building and developing
service infrastructure along traffic routes associated with tourist
destinations; build points, show rooms, introduce and sell agricultural
products, OCOP products, traditional craft village products, souvenirs on main
roads, rest stops, and tourist attraction locations ā¦
One of the key components is to
develop rural tourism products with local characteristics. The whole province
will build at least 15 experiential tourism products of some typical
agricultural products of the province, OCOP products are associated with the
ecological resort model and available natural resources in rural areas;
Traditional craft village tourism model combined with experiential tourism and
indigenous tourism; model of eco-tourism, agricultural tourism combined with
resorts in 3 tourism space clusters, including: Da Lat City and surrounding
areas have become a tourist urban area and a tourist cluster in Bao Loc City
and surrounding areas, tourist clusters in the southern districts have become
satellites and developed tourist destinationsā¦
The rural tourism development
programme will build a tourism linkage chain model by reviewing and selecting
community tourism and rural tourism products that are eligible to meet OCOP
criteria “Community tourism services and tourist attractions” to
orient economic organisations and households; improve the quality of services,
products and professionalism according to OCOP criteria; Select commodity
agricultural production areas with potential for tourism development to improve
the landscape and space around production areas to create a premise for
developing agricultural experience tourism and combined eco-tourism with
indigenous culture; Organise evaluation and classification of OCOP products
“Community tourism services and tourist attractions” according to
regulations.
Lam Dong province focuses on
developing rural tourism models towards green, responsible and sustainable
tourism. In particular, develop infrastructure and technical facilities to
serve all types of tourism in the direction of green growth, focusing on the
connectivity of infrastructure; develop renewable energy and improve energy
efficiency in tourism activities to support production and business; invest in
collection, classification and recycling systems to reuse wastewater and
garbage for different purposes; support the preservation, restoration and
development of craft villages and traditional craft villages; support the
development and digitization of information and explanatory documents about
cultural and historical relics, eco-tourism sites and traditional craft
villages… associated with rural tourism.
