​Many residents and tourists, as well as representatives of departments and branches of An Giang province, Chau Doc city leaders, provinces and cities in the region including Dong Thap, Tra Vinh, Kien Giang, etc., were in attendance at the program. Additionally, there were businesses from within and outside the province in attendance.
In 2023, from December 14th to the 18th, the Festival of Typical and Renowned Products in An Giang and other regions was held for five days at the Chau Phu A ward square (in Chau Doc city) and adjacent roads. This highlights the province’s end-of-year trade promotion initiatives.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Trung Hieu, Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee and Director of the An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center, stated: “An Giang and other regions’ typical and renowned product festival in 2023 is a strong driving force to promote the connection between supply and demand of goods between producers and consumption hubs, to orient production development in accordance with market development needs, and to promote the branding of products.”
The festival of Typical and Renowned An Giang and other regions in 2023 has a scale of nearly 200 booths of nearly 100 units from 19 participating provinces and cities. The festival campus is divided into main areas, including specialty pavilions and community performances in An Giang province, OCOP specialty and product pavilions in provinces and cities, foreign product pavilions, and cultural and culinary exchange spaces.
In addition to possessing a varied assortment of products, the booths are visually captivating. The exceptional product category consists of, among other things, food, herbs, apparel, furniture, mementos, and services. Businesses that produce OCOP-certified products, regional specialties, typical rural industrial goods, export-oriented goods, and potential products occupy most of the booths.
In addition, within the program’s framework, there are exchange programs and art performances from 19:00 to 21:00 every night, entertainment activities during the day, miniatures for visitors, and trade matching activities between An Giang enterprises and localities…
The festival of Typical and Renowned An Giang and other regions in 2023 is an activity to introduce to people and tourists the typical products, attractive destinations, and rich cuisine of An Giang in particular and provinces and cities in general. Thereby, businesses can promote brands, products, and services to consumers.
