In 2025, the locality aims to standardise all tourist destinations and tourism products, developing at least three outstanding models and rural attractions that promote the locality’s specialties in agriculture, culture, craft village and local ecological environment.

In the year, at least 50% of local tourism service suppliers are expected to meet all requirements for serving tourists.

At the same time, Bac Giang will combine rural tourism development with its digital transformation process, striving to have 100% of rural tourist attractions promoted on the internet.

Half of the rural tourist destinations are expected to apply electronic transactions in tourism activities, while 100% of owners of rural tourist establishments are to receive training in tourism service management, and 80% rural labourers working in tourism are expected to receive tourism skills training.

Tourism development is a way for Bac Giang to promote its potential in agriculture, craft village, culture and natural landscapes, while attracting social resources and engagement of the local community in rural tourism development, thus increasing jobs and improving income for rural labourers.

Developing ecotourism in line with environmental protection and craft village conservation has been a priority in Bac Giang during rural tourism expansion. The province aims to restore, preserve and promote its traditional craft villages, cuisine, costumes, farming practices and folk festivals, while restoring the production of traditional and specialty products.

According to the Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Truong Quang Hai, since 2021, Bac Giang has recognised five tourism destinations, raising the number of such facilities to 14. So far, the province has welcomed 3.05 million visitors. In the first six months of this year alone, the figure reached 1.3 million. The tourism sector has reported revenue of 1.47 trillion VND (61.71 million USD), while creating jobs for about 2,500 labourers.

Bac Giang has set up four facilities to introduce and sell its OCOP (One Commune-One Product) products, located in local popular tourist destinations which are Tay Yen Tu eco-spiritual tourism area; community-based tourist site in Ven village; Dong Bac Cultural Village; and the special national relic site commemorating Xuong Giang Victory.

Particularly, the province has effectively developed community-based tourism in Ven Village in Yen The district. It is also concentrating in promoting community-based tourism sites in association with fruit farms as well as agricultural and rural products in Son Dong, Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Viet Yen and Yen The districts.

The province has approved the planning for Ho Cao Lake ecological urban-tourism resort, entertainment area in Huong Son commune of Huong Giang district with a total area of 426 hectares, while finishing the planning for Vuon Co ecotourism area in Dao My commune, Lang Giang district with an area of 100 ha. It has also completed the detailed planning on construction of the Resistance Culture Hill relic site located at Quang Tien commune of Tan Yen district./.
