In addition, the Khmer ethnic people organise the Rain Bathing Ceremony, also known as the unique Summer Welcoming Ceremony. This is a long-standing ritual. On this holiday, Buddhist families gather at the temple to offer necessary items to the monks. This day marks the beginning of the settlement at a temple.
