(TITC) – Cho Lach Cultural and Tourism Village is a product of the one-commune-one-product program in Ben Tre province, belongs to the group of rural tourism service products aimed at stimulating production, enhancing value and promoting agricultural products towards rural tourism sustainable development model.

The project “Cho Lach Cultural
and Tourism Village for the period 2020 – 2021 and orientation to 2025”
has been officially approved by the People’s Committee of Ben Tre Province on
30th March 2020. Thereby, Cho Lach is expected to become a national centre for
tourism, sightseeing, relaxation, and entertainment based on developing
available advantages of indigenous cultural resources, natural resources, and
key agricultural products to create motivation for the sustainable development
of Ben Tre province’s tourism industry.
In order to support the promotion of
tourism, the Ben Tre Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organised
programmes to foster communication skills and promote agricultural and rural
tourism products for households doing tourism in communes in the Cho Lach
Cultural and Tourism Village Project.
The training programme includes the
following contents: Overview of tourism promotion, tourism promotion events,
event planning, event organisation process, applying digital technology to
tourism promotion. Participating students have learned theory combined with
practical surveys of some households doing tourism in the Cho Lach Cultural and
Tourism Village Project. Through the training programme, the province hopes to
promote promotional activities and introduce tourist destinations, attracting
tourists to Ben Tre in general and Cho Lach in particular.
Also, in 2023, the Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the District People’s
Committees organise many training courses for rural tourism human resources to
provide awareness to tourism businesses, households doing agricultural and
rural tourism. Improve the quality of rural tourism human resources in a
professional manner, fostering soft skills for rural tourism workers.
In addition to Cho Lach, there are
also training courses such as: Skills class for welcoming and serving tourists
at agricultural and rural tourism destinations in Thanh Phu district, skills
class for building agricultural and rural tourism products in Chau Thanh
district, skills class for welcoming and serving tourists at agricultural and
rural tourism sites in Ba Tri district.
